If government deficits and bailouts could fix the economy... do I need to even finish the sentence? Obama is a bubble that will pop in 2 years.

After 100 days, Bush was at war from 99 days... I think Obama is a little bit more pacific and HUMAN.

Booleah! The question is state clearly. However, it depends on your perception of the right direction. If the right direction economically is downward, then the answer's yes. If the right direction politically is towards a more centralized government, then the answer is yes. If the right direction on the world stage is as a staggering, drunken leader, then the answer is yes. Of course, if the opposite value is adopted as the right direction, the answer is no. Your question raises more questions than answers. It lacks clarity and is not concise in any way. One man's hell is another man's heaven. Check your assumptions.

Obama recognizes the long-term problems our country faces and is in a unique political position to work on solutions. Politicians often focus on short-term fixes because that's what it takes to get re-elected but some of our most difficult problems require seeing the big picture and planning and implementing long-term solutions. Obama also seems flexible enough to compromise when necessary in order to get things done. History will tell but I am very hopeful for the future.

You pose a question with a dialectic (?) answer form..or kind of booolean. So the answers should be..what.. in the form of "I think they are going better/worse and to make them even better/worse I would suggest the following idea: ......."

Defining the right direction in 100 days is impossible +1.85

The economic collapse of the US is entirely possible given 30 years of mismanagement by US presidents. Expecting 1 president in 100 days to fix that will be hard to define much less call victory as these things take time and only history writes the success of it all. Optimism yes, hope yes, action in motion yes, desire to fix things yes, potential for complete recovery or dissaster yes, quantifiable results that prove anything, no.
