This is getting ridiculous. Besides the golf announcer, a million athletes, and a Boston College economics professor, there are just too many "Bob Murphys" walking around. I think it is clear that I need a stage name. "Vanilla Ice" is taken, so I don't know that we should even strive for coolness at this point, and instead we should settle for clarity. If it helps, I'm an economist specializing in Climate Change, Interest Theory, Financial Economics, Trade, and Game Theory. Thanks.

Sounds like change is what you're advocating. Also, brings to mind "chump change" as a meme.

It combines the idea of game theory & economics and it is unforgettable. You could be Robert M. Man when you wanted to be low key and Robert Monopoly Man when you wanted to be noticed.

As in Bold Eagle. People will remember and will help you respond to people calling you by your stage name (Eddie short for Edward).

How about a name that people will remember and give a clue to what you do? Storm is strong.

Stick with the original first name, but Chart speaks to the mathematical aspects of your interests and skills while still sounding approachable.
Plus, B.C. is a better set of initials than B.M.! Win - win!
