Soft Light, scented candles diffuse in a room, a lot of red rose's petals on the floor, chillout as music. If you are able you can could cook something like fish or crustaceans served with a dry white wine. Cream, strawberry and champagne to complete your perfect and honey Valentine. Wow, i wanna be there!

ideally in a gorgeous hotel suite so you don't have to get dressed and leave. but w/o an overnight sitter for the kiddo, you may just have to settle for the massage at the spa, then head home to responsibility.

Take her out for a nice time, scenic view, watch a movie, go for a drive. Set a curfew and intentionally stay out past the deadline. ;) Make sure to get her roses when you pick her up.

A woman can't relax when she's got a list of chores running through her head. Hire a cleaning service to do a deep cleaning as part of your gift to her. then she'll really be able to enjoy whatever festivities you have planned!

If the weather is nice, it would be a sweet and original thing to do. Order takout from her favorite restaurant, bring a bottle of bubbly, a blanket and hike on up the hillside. Then relax, enjoy the view, the meal and each other's company.

get a sitter for the kid. tell her to go shopping. clean the house and make a romantic dinner (or at least order out something nice). set the mood by setting the table, dimming the lights, light the candles, add some light jazz music, and some aroma scents. its the thought that counts and these little efforts mean so much more.
